View with cut plane

Hi

I am wondering how to view my 3D contours in a cut plane. I modeled a 3D cylinder that is symmetrical. I want to view down the centre in a cut plane. I made the plane (0,0,0), (0,1,0), (1,1,0), and click display for it, but obviously that only gives me a rectangular appearing sliver of the cylinder. I want to see half of the cylinder, on that plane. How can this be done?

Thanks

*display/sweep surface
*or surface/isosurface (surface of constant: choose the right coordinate)

After playing around with those features, I'm not sure that they can do what I'm aiming for.

I'm trying to create a diagram like the one seen here, in the top right corner, image titled "CFD MODEL":

Thanks :)

follow (and persevere) what I mentionned earlier.
What you see in your document, is many contour displays overlayed.
It can be done with display/scene (option overlay enabled)

Dear I have similar problem, did you find any way to plot contours on a sector of a plane instead of the whole plane. I need to find distortion coefficient and thus need to divide a plane to a 60 deg sector. Can you help me with that?

I am also interested in this issue. Did you manage to divide your plane in 60 degrees sectors?

Thanks
