I spent quite a while having trouble exporting the icem mesh in a format that cfx and fluent can read, have you got that far because if you have managed to export the .msh file from ICEM its simply a matter or right clicking on the mesh and importing the .msh file.

Alternatively if you have not exported the .msh file you need to create your mesh in icem, then click write input file in output, select fluent v6 as the solver, then it will ask you which project to open, open the one you want and then click write then you can name this file as wanted and import into fluent or cfx

Icem to Fluent problem

Hi

I am not sure if this is the right place for this post but I am new to ICEM and my experience is with Gambit, I am trying to export a mesh (it is simply a tank with a baffle inside) when I try to read the mesh file in FLUENT i receive the following response.
"11662 nodes.
11446 quadrilateral cells, zone 11.
22677 2D interior faces, zone 12.

Building...

Error:
FLUENT received fatal signal (ACCESS_VIOLATION)
1. Note exact events leading to error.
2. Save case/data under new name.
3. Exit program and restart to continue.
4. Report error to your distributor."

Can anyone help me with this problem please, I have no idea what the problem can be.

Check the following:-

1) Memory of the system you are running
2) The mesh itself
