How to rotate a blade in fluent?

Dear all,

I would like to simulate a rotating blade with fluent. i was reading the manual but they explained about a 2D geometry.

In 2D simulation, there is option called "axisymmetric swirl " then also in cell zone condition you can specify your rotation velocity
BUT when I use 3D geometry, there is no option called "axisymetric swirl", also i cant specify my rotation velocity.

could anyone help in this matter? I mean could you tell me how i can give rotational velocty to my blade and then simulate it?

Thanks in advance.:-)

In my case ,I used moving reference frame and steady flow for simulate wind turbine blade

hi my friend

did you model HAWT in 3D?

i would be nice if you could tell me how you rotate your blade?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I too want to give rotational motion to a 3-D body in FLUENT. Can anyone tell me how to do that? In my case it's just a simple rectangular channel which has to be rotated in respect to an axis at it's origin.
