Hi there,

I've measured 66 points experimentally across an inlet vent (44X23cm). Does anyone know how they should be set out in the profile file to be read by FLUENT. The user manual doesn't make it clear enough for me.

Thanks guys!

I guess at each point, the inlet velocity would not be the same. However, Fluent doesn't own the boundary condition to set inlet velocity as a function. So you must define your own inlet profile. UDF seems to be the best and only option. Hope this might help you

Yes you're right, 66 different velocities, not representable by an analytical function. Can this still be done in UDF? I have not seen precendents, but FLUENT suggests a profile file... Can you suggest how to do it?
