Time integration (or summing) of mass flow rate

Hi all,

I have a zone with one inlet and one outlet and I would like to know how much mass has been delivered to my zone during the simulation.
My case is transient.

Thanks in advance

Create a mass flow rate monitor (Solve-->Monitors-->Surface).

yes but then how do you integrate it over time to get the mass?

Sorry, I misunderstood you before. Do you mean you want to know how much mass has entered your domain as the solution iterates, or at the end of your simulation? If you don't mind waiting until the end, you could open the mass flow rate data in a spreadsheet and use that to integrate to find the total mass.

Ok there isn't another way in FLUENT? Because the integration may be crude.

Thanks for your answer

There might be, I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else could chime in about it.
