Kenics mixer fluent setup

Hello..

I am new to CFD. Just started 3 months back.

I am doing a project to study simulations on kenics mixer. Kenics mixer basically is a static (not moving) mixer(cylinderical in shape and having blades inside in which two liquids are introduced and they are mixed due to blade orientation.

I have meshed and modelled the geometry.

I have read the case file, resizing of the grid has been done. i have defined the materials and have choosen multiphase VOF, laminar ,steady state model. I have also defined the phases.

Please let me know if the model is correct.

My main problem is Boundary conditions. When i go for it, i have given mass flow from both of my inlets of the two liquids. Since i am sending in top half of cylinder liquid-1 and liquid-2 in bottom half of cylinder , i set phase-1 mass flow rate = some value and phase-2 mass flow rate= 0 in fluid inlet-1. similarly i define phase-2 mass flow rate= some value and phase-1 mass flow rate= 0 in fluid inlet-2.

Please let me know if these Boundary condition are correct.

Assuming that the mixer will open to atmosphere, i have specified outlet pressure of the mixutre as atmospheric by giving pressure-outlet condition.

I initialize from fluid inlet-1.

My answers are totally wrong. They dont converge at all and reverse flow is also there.

Please somebody help.
Thanks for reading such a long story.

Thanks,
Ankur
