I have been trying to simulate laminar flow over an airfoil and for each airfoil I analyze using Laminar Model in Ansys Fluent, it shows tremendous laminar separation bubbles occurring which end up increasing the drag to a very high value. Now based on my understanding, I think that this is occurring because the transition is not being captured. is there a way to fix this problem, since for the problem I am analyzing, natural transition is occurring.
Forgot to mention: Reynolds number of operation: 250000 - 500000 Any suggestions are welcome!! |
