I'm getting crazy. No matter what ever model I use, I always get the wall y+ value within 15-25. How do I get an y+ value within the log-law layer? I've heard refining mesh in fluent could work. But I don't know how to do it. Can someone please help?

Approximate the wall-distance needed to get y+ in the range your model requires. Online tools to do this can be found here: http://www.cfd-online.com/Links/tools.html#yplus

Is it possible to alter the mesh within FLUENT? I don't know gambit or other mesh creation software.

Yes, you can refine a mesh from within Fluent.

From the dropdown menu: 'Adapt'
