Hi,

I want to simulate the multiphase heat transfer mechanism occurs in a typical heat pipe. I have used vof model using the udf provided in the tutorial named boiling.c. But there is no condensation happening at the evaporator section. If anyone has some idea about incorporating the condensation phenomenone in this udf then please share.

Hi Deepak,
You can Mixure model in FLUENT, when you set the phases in the "PHASES" option you will find the evaporation-condensation in the Mass tab.
Try with this and lemme know!!

thanks for your reply,
I tried as per your suggestion but when i go to interaction and then to mass tab, there is one check box for cavitaion and other one asking for number of mass transfer mechanism. There is no evaporation-condensation option there. My Fluent version if 6.2.16

when it asked for mass transfer option you specify no.1 there and then you will see the evap-cond option enabled. Since I am using version 12.0 it is there.
