Solid fraction proflie about Eulerian model

Hello,
Recently I have used Eulerian Model to calculate the horizontal pipe flow about solid-liquid flow. The flow is laminar and steady. But I found some questions during the simulation. I found the solid fraction profile at the top of the pipe is unsteady. That is to say, When the solid phase velocity profile is steady during the fully developed flow region, the fraction of solid phase profile is not steady. And it changes along the pipeline. I am confused. How can I get the steady result ?
Thanks in advance!

If you are using steady solver - it seems that this is solution convergence problem - possible solution: refine the mesh and/or use higher discretization schemes. Solution may behave unsteady when using steady solver when the physical phenomena being under consideration is physically unsteady (i.e. is unsteady in reality). I'd rather recommend to use unsteady solver and average solution using flow statistics. Hope this helps.

Kondora,

Thanks for your advice. I will try it.

Hi, even i am trying to work on simulation of slurry flow in horizontal pipeline. I was wondering what were the boundary conditions you used. Was it velocity inlet and pressure outlet. And did you use, Unsteady state solver ? Your reply would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.
