One or two way coupling
I would like to know when a two way coupling is needed in case of high temperature air-particles flow. Are there any guidelines or criterions?

One way coupling is mainly considered in case of a very dilute particles in continuous phase. Let us say the ratio of the particle density to the gas density is greater than 1000 or so. In this case, you can use one-way coupling. however, you should consider influence of these particles on continuous phase physically.
If you can assume influence of particle phase on continous phase is very little, then you need not to go for two-way coupling. Exeptions may applied in reacting cases.
