FLUENT Conservative with respect to Mass

Hi there,

got a simple and huge problem.

Imagine a die. Mass Flow rate at the inlet and outlet are exactly the same. By creating a slice through the domain I get values higher than the initial condition. The good thing with FLUENT should be that it is mass conservative due to the form of the governing equations.

I get the slices by defining iso surfaces. When I try to slice the int_.. partof the domain FLUENT crashes. So I just do slice the domain called FLUID without selecting any surface but that cant be the reason for mass generation within the domain.

That is extremely absurd!!!!!

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Sincerely

Hi,

is it possible that it is just a problem of post processing? Maybe a partitioning problem. The Conti-Residuals became extremly low and the in and outflow do match. How to post process in case I am not allowed to define surfaces..? Never saw that before..

Please help..

Sincerely
