material property

I would like to define two physical properties for a fluid. I am using the material panel to define the properties with defining the user defined database. One is in polynomial form and I define it correctly with help of user guide. Unfortunately, another one is in out of the forms provided by Fluent. What should I do to define this physical property?

i don't understand what you mean in this point: Unfortunately, another one is in out of the forms provided by Fluent.
i think that you want create a new material? so you can change the value and save with another name at this point fluent ask a confirm of operation. you click yes and you have a new matiarial with your physical property.

Yes. I would like to create new material. Hence, I need to define the properties of material. There are a lot of methods in Fluent used for definition, like polynomial, constant etc. Unfortunately, the method I need for properties definition is not available in Fluent. What should I do for the best?

Thanks for help. :)

i think that you implemented the property of material with a user definiction function. if you see the last term of windows menu are an udf.

Hi,

If you look in section 2.3.16 in the UDF manual you will find a description of the DEFINE_PROPERTY macro with which you can implement (more or less) any form or dependency for your material. There are also a few examples in this section, if you are unfamiliar with UDF programming.

Cheers!
