Hello guys
my name's ji from Korea I wonder what this warning "multiple subdivision required on zone 8. subdivide using constant ratio done" means I'm using VOF and DYNAMIC layering from FLUENT. The motion and analysis are good. but there is something different from my expectation. So I want to know if that kind of warning is affected to the result of simulation. If anyone knows about the meaning of that plz let me know. thanks |

Hi Ji
Well, i ever get warning for my simulation (different case of yours).about 2 phase. because our simulation is not wrong if we get warning. hope it helps teguh tf

I think this message appeared because of mesh layering. Your cell size (aspect ratio) has changed because of the mesh motion. Then the cell size at layering location left the specified parameter range (set in the dynamic mesh / layering panel) and a new layer of hex-cell was inserted.

Hi, I faced the same problem, the solution is defining a time step according to mesh speed and mesh size, for me the velocity was 1mm/s and the mesh size was 0.5mm by defining t=0.5 I got error but by t=0.25 it become okay.

I faced this problem when using the dynamic mesh, and I found it involved with the "cell height" (in dynamic mesh zones---mehsing options), when the height it too small, the warning popped up, once I had increased the height value, it disappeared.
Hope this may help users who encountered this problem. |
