U can mesh the edge of the face and then mesh the face and also U can mesh the face directly

if you mean observe with edit, then make visibility of all volumes and faces (except the one you want to "edit").
enable mesh visibility.
Now you have your face with its mesh, and you can modify it

I think mesh face is easier than mash volume. because we can move the node directly if the quality of meshing is poor. or you can use size function to edit your mesh.

Can u tell me how to use size function to edit mesh in Gambit? I tried once but the result was not good. I want to know what the size function is generally used for? Thanks, Raijin.

Well, for meshing by using size function is based on our intuition..experience will tell us..for studying about size function try this http://www.anova.com.tr/dosyalar/destek/gambittips.pdf
