I'm doing simulations of rotating Savonius wind rotor in transient problem
I do that using k-e model, moving mesh and caculate cp by the average torque value of a round rotating but the cp are always lower than experiment values from a reference paper it's no use by increasing the domain or higher the number of grids how to setting the scheme in this problem or what can I do for this? thanks |

Hi,
first of all are you making 2d or 3d simulations? How have you choosen the turbulence modeling?Intensity and lenght scale? Is your timestep ok? I am asking this because all of these factors influences the result of your simulation. If you haven't done, give a look at this thread : http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/flu...light=savonius , it gave me a lot of answers. Hope to be helpful. |
