hello!

I'd like to know, how to build internal boundaries (fan, radiator, porous jump, wall, and interior) in a 3D model.

thanks

you should do this when building your mesh. there should be the option to define boundary zones somewhere.

otherwise in fluent, you should go to define ->boundary conditions, and then click on the physical features and assign them the relevant boundary conditions.

if in gambit you cut 2 volumes with a face but keep the 2 volumes "connected", you will have a single face on the border between the 2 volumes.

It can be defined as "interior". This means no boundary conditions are applied to it, it is NOT treated as a boundary, but as part of the volume

please i need a help about this, if someone has any idea...

thanks

I don't know if this is what you are looking for but in the workbench meshing app , you can create named selections while meshing and apply these boundary conditions once the model has been imported to fluent

hi vishnukmd7

Look, i've tried to follow your indications but i can't solve the problem. Please i'd like to you give me some more info.

Now i'll give some more info about the problem that i have to solve:

- I've built a box, inside this box i have to consider one or more faces this faces will become differents ventilators (like inlet vent, fan, radiator...). The real problem is to make that face(s) become part of the box (the only volume mesh considered for fluent).

Thanks a lot for all the sugestions
