I am modeling a closed circuit wind tunnel in FLUENT. To simulate the fan, I have introduced a "cut" in the tunnel, assigning one of these edges as velocity inlet and the other as pressure outlet.

I am doing a thermal analysis of the tunnel, and want to see how the temperature changes over time as air flow through it.

How do I go about doing this? I want the air coming out of the pressure outlet to go back into the tunnel at the velocity inlet. How can I do this so I can proceed with my transient model?

Please help!!

Thanks

you will be able to see the temperature diff. dT between inlet/outlet

say, T_out(1) = T_in(1) + dT

If air is recycled, T_out(2) = Tin(1) + 2*dT

wouldn't this be enough, if u interested only in the temperature ?

Thanks for your reply. I was considering this too, but I want to see how much time it will take for the air to be cooled to a certain temperature. Is there a way to see how long it takes the air to go thought one cycle (from the inlet to the outlet)?
