Hi

What is the definition of pressure inlet and pressure outlet in Fluent,
I am going to simulate a cylinder with the same amount of pressure inlet and pressure outlet, as far as I understand because the pressure at both sides of the cylinder are identical there shouldn’t be any flow and the velocity should be zero, but there is a flow from inlet to outlet with non-zero speed,

It happens even when the pressure outlet is higher than pressure inlet,

Could anybody let me know why?

Thanks very much in advance

Did you have a look at the Fluent Users Guide? Boundary conditions and the solved equations are described in some detail there.

Thanks for reply,
Yes, but still abit confused, in my feeling when the pressure inlet and outlet are the same then it means that there is not delta P and there wont be no motion, I Know this is wrong (in fluent)but I don’t know why?
