Hi guys,

I'm doing 2D CFD analysis of a 3 bladed vertical axis wind turbine and using sliding mesh. I need to fing the power and moment of turbine. How can i do this by setting the reference values. What values should i set to length, area, depth and velocity?

Second question is, i need to find the forces on the airfoils. How can i do that?

Waiting for your answers...

Hi Arslan,
reference values are for calculating dimensionless parameter but here you can easily use pressure and viscous forces directly.

here:
report->forces
you can find forces and moment in any directions.
