have you setup a license server and installed your Ansys supplied license file?

So that you have all the details, please refer to the Ansys licensing Installation documentation you can get via the Ansys Customer portal. This will detail for you how to ensure that your license file was requested correctly and if you need to modify the server name or port in the license file.

This error means that the system ID you provided for your license server does not match the server it was installed on.

either the interconnect/flexlm services are not running or there is a problem with the firewall. The interconnect and flexlm logs will provide you more information.
Follow the instructions in the Installation manual and/or contact Ansys support.

Solved the problem, there were lmgrd processes running at the back end. you have to kill lmgrd processes from command prompt and then run license, it will work fine.
