DarrenC is on a distinguished road
Hello there,

I am facing a somewhat new problems with the Fluent Transient Export function. I am trying to periodically export files out of Fluent in Tecplot format. So I initially define a plane-bounded surface and then use the following TUI : file/transient-export/tecplot. It then prompts me to type in a filename, but somehow whatever I type as a filename it always throws this error :

Error: CDR: invalid argument [1]: wrong type [not a pair]
Error Object: #f

I am really not sure what the message means. I have tried numerous names but it always gives the same error message. This is one problem.

Now for the next problem, I tried then to go around the TUI problem by using the GUI to define Automatic Export function, export to Tecplot format, Save the case file and then send the job to a HPC to get it to run in parallel. This works, however the saved tecplot files always contains additional points which I did not define. This only happens if I run multiple processors. For 1 processor the problem does not occur.

I am really stuck here at the moment and I cannot get any data out of the solver in a format I want in a timely manner. I hope you guys can help me out with these frustrating errors.

Thanks in advance

Cheers
Darren
