Mixing plane for centrifugal compressor

Hello there,
I am running a simulation of a centrifugal compressor in fluent. I am simulating a single passage using the mixing planes.

Unfortunately, right after the impeller there are some labyrinth seal passages. In order to keep them in the "stationary" reference frame I should place the mixing plane right at the trailing edge of the impeller blade.

I could not find any reference in the manual and the tutorials. Is there any problem in placing the mixing plane just at the trailing edge of a compressor blade? Most of the test cases I saw have a small gap between the blade and the mixing plane. Is that important.

Thanks
