How to read or write case by commands during simulation with Fluent

Hi.
As we all know, one can use text command to set in Fluent and Fluent can write case and data files automatically during simulation, but can read case and data files automatically. I want to read or write automatically case and data or some other files during simulation, if needed, but I do not want to use GUI, because it is not what I need. In other word, when the simulation is started, I want Fluent to read or write case and data files by itself not by hand, if needed during simulation. How can I fix this problem by text command? Thanks!

Hi,
you can do that with a simple journal file.

How can I do so? Could you give me some simple example? I always use journal file to make setting, but never do a automatic reading setting.

rcd 123.cas

wcd 123.cas
the journal file should be place in the same folder as your .cas file. you may need some 'yes' or 'No' command between for overwriting ....

Thanks for your help. However, I should describe my problem more clearly. For example, I plan to iterate 1000 steps for an unsteady simulation. During the simulation, I want to automatically let Fluent read case and data files, if needed. For example, when the 101 step is finished, by a condition, Fluent should read the 100th step files, i.e. 100.cas and 100.dat automatically without manual operation and calculate the new flow field of the 101st step. The case of writing files is similar to that of reading files. How can I fix this? Thank you.
