hi,

I want to simulate a wire screen in 3D. The wire-screen (mesh) is to be used as a liquid-solid (water-glass beads) separator in fluidization. Following are the properties of the glass beads

Size (dp)= 1.36 mm
Density = 2468 kg/m3.

The wire-screen should allow only water to pass through it and prevent the flow of glass beads through it. I tried with porous boundary condition available in Fluent. But because of two-phase flow, I suppose,resistances of each phase needs to be calculated. Moreover, Eulerian-Eulerian approach is being used to simulate.My queries are:

i) How do I do the meshing and what boundary conditions is to be used?

ii) How do predict/calculate the resistances for porous boundary condition such it allows only one of the phases (water) to pass through it?
