Hey all,
I am currently involved in CFD simulation in textile manufacturing process particularly Relay nozzles. In relay nozzles the air blows out at high pressures of about 1-7 Bar.The complete simulation is carried out for 5 Bar. As the geometry is very complex and takes millions of cells,we thought of other way for the simulation of other 6 pressure levels. We thought of simplifiying the geometry and appliying Momentum Source. We tried to check this by comparing with the complete simulation of 5 BAr.,but observed that the momentum to be applied was 50 times the theoritical to get same velocity profile. Please can anybody tell the reason behind this.? Regards, Siddarth Kothiwale. |
