Governing equation of sliding mesh

Dear all,

I am concerning the rotational sliding mesh about the simulation of axial-type turbine. Within the official documentation, the theory guide, it states that there isn't any rotating reference frame attached in the Sliding Mesh Model(SMM). Then, how is the rotational motion described in a specific time step, that is, if we consider the discretized time step then the motion is freeze at each time step, and assume the governing eqn does not account for the rotation, how is the moving boundary described in the momentum equation?

Hi is there anyone aware of this problem? I've checked the documentation several times, and have found some readings on the internet, yet neither of them could answer my question well. I'm glad to have any discussion with you.
