Hi,
I am trying to simulate flow over buildings where I also have multiple trees. I am using Fluent meshing for mesh but the problem is that I want to merge the cell zones for the trees so I can define its properties one-time in Fluent, and also so that I don't get a lot of internal walls (my simulations has hundreds of trees) When I try to merge cell zones in Fluent meshing I get the message (Selected regions cannot be merged, none of them share face zones) I guess because they are not touching each other. I could do this before, but I used a STEP cad file and used usual Ansys meshing (trees were separate but defined as one solid in Autodesk Inventor) Now I'm using Spaceclaim for geometry which cant merge untouched bodies and also using Fluent meshing which cant define named selection as regular Ansys mesher. Any help or idea is greatly appreciated |
