holdup calculation

Hi

I am modeling flow of a liquid through a packed bed.I use a Porous media model for this.I specify the viscous resistance and the porosity of the packing material. I want to know if Fluent can predict the holdup of the liquid - dynamic and static.. Should I need to write any UDF for this?

Thanks in advance,

Not sure about the porous media model, but in multiphase you can create a monitor (solve-monitor-volume) that will track the volume fraction of the phase at every time-step. Hope it helps. :)

Can it is Possible to measure the holdup without UDF.
