hello dignitaries!
i am a student working on heat ex-changer design for my thesis, to model the 90.deg symmetry, i have used the HYPERMESH and wrote a case file for FLUENT. while i was reading the case in fluent in parallel processing mode, it is staying at Parallel variables... Building... grid, auto partitioning mesh by Principal Axes, distributing mesh parts...., face...., nodes..., i have waited for it to proceed further for two days. i am working on 8 core 16GB machine. my mesh size is 5.4million someone who can advice pl. help me. |

Has this problem been resolved?
Try exporting the mesh from HM as a Nastran file (.nas or .bdf) and then import into Fluent. 5 mill is not too big for a 16GB machine. |

thank you for your concern!
the problem is resolved. there were some files missing while i was writing a fluent case from hypermesh. so i tried to write in small parts and then read it in fluent. may be this is not the way to do it, but still it worked. |
