turbulent viscosity limited to viscosity ratio of 1.000000e+05

Hi,
this is not a question for the experts. i just wanna share my experience with the problem with turbulent viscosity limited to viscosity ratio of 1.000000e+05 in Fluent. I managed to overcome this problem when i scaled my mesh. It may or might not solve your problem i dont know but it certainly didnt give me any when i scaled my mesh.

Cheers
Ralph

Hi Ralph,

What do you mean by 'scaled my mesh'?

I solved that problem making bigger my mesh.

It means that you can scale the problem , making bigger or smaller in the fluent program, by pressing in the scale menu.

I suggest you to make a bigger mesh.

hi

i have no experience in scaling meshes, but wouldn't this lead to bigger physical domains too?

also, how is the viscosity ratio influenced by that scaling? thanks

regards
