Dear all: Recently, I am trying to use the aximsymmetric model to solve an unsteady state problem but I just fail. The console window told me that the x-momentum diverge as soon as I started the program. I even tried to initalize the radial velocity with a non-zero number but got the same result. Did I do anything wrong?

One of the reasons is: Did u make sure that ur axis of symmetry is 'X-Axis' ? and, there should not be any cells below the x-axis, ??

hi,i have a question about axisymmetric model,there are some options in boundry pannel to assign velocity in both axisymmetric and axisymmetric swirl model,what is difference btw those?

Axisymmetric model is used when the geometry is axisymmetric (for example, flow through a pipe, where you can model just a 2D half-section of the pipe). Here, there is no flow in the z-axis.

In axisymmetric swirl, there is swirling flow in the z-axis (normal to the geometry plane). For example, liquid swirling in a circular vessel.

if x-axis is at 0,0,0 location then turing that boundary to symmetry gives warning msg and by translating axis it produces wrong results. can you tell me in that case what should I do?
