hello
In Gambit, I used "Revolve faces" command to make a 90 degree bend of the pipe, After a 90 degree bend is made, it creates an extra edge joining the two vertices of the bend. Does this extra edge has any implications? or its existance doesnt matter? Please guide. |

Max, thank you for your reply.
The picture is attached. Extra edge is a blue line originating from ther vertex. This is created when I used the "revolve face" command with an angle of 90 degree. How can i omit this? or its existance has no influence on the mesh etc and/or why is it generated? Thanks for your help. |

The line is created from the vertex.
If you sweep or rotate a surface, Gambit will stretch your topology: A surface will be a volume, an edge will be a surface and a vertex will be an edge. If you want to make the line disapear, you need to omit the vertex. But that : you won't be able to do it, since your circle needs a vertex at least. Why it is bothering you?

Could you please say that if there seems any silhouette in the picture?
If you revolve a circular section, you only have two circle edges (source and target) and one edge on the outer surface. That edge is created from the vertex on your source circle. |
