Hi

I am trying to model the oscillating viscosity of cornstarch (non newtonian liquid).

Is this a correct model?
\eta=k[\dot\gamma(t)]^{n-1} e^{T_0/T}

and...
\dot\gamma(t)=\gamma_0 \omega \cos (\omega t)

Where \gamma_0 is the shear amplitude.

IF this model is correct..
How do I apply it to cornstarch?
  • How do I calculate the shear amplitude
  • How do I calculate k
  • What is the value of n for cornstarch

Please Reply
Regards
