Converting the domain to polyhedra problem?

Hi there,

I am a new Ansys user...I generated the mesh (about 6,000,000 of elements) with ICEM and I eventually exported it to FLUENT...Then I tried to convert the domain to polyhedra however my laptop grot frozen meanwhile the polyhedra cells are being built (says after one hour and an half).
Do I have generated meshes too coarse (min orthogonal quality: 0.32 and medium quality: 0.71) or there may be another reason? Is there anything I can do to improve the process? ( I already set the parallel modality)
Also: in a prevows attempt I get that I did not set the polyhedra feature angle, but how can I actually set it?

Many thanks

Sounds like your laptop doesn't have enough RAM or swap space. Try it on a PC with more RAM.

So,
you build 6.0 Mil mesh?!?!?!?!?
That's good and do not need to wonder why it is so slow.... Everything is OK!
Fluent has a good feature - if it can not handle the process it complains... so, you just need to wait.... if the RAM is not enough then Fluent will tell you this. Thy to reduce the mesh if it is possible.
