Hi everybody,

I use a macro to write a line plot every 100 iterations.

This works fine, but I also get a pop-up every 100 iterations on my screen.

Can I suppress the fact that the macro creates these pop-ups? Or can I write this line plot to a file in a different way?

please explain what you mean when you say line plot????
and also what sort of pop up????

if by pop-up you mean the overwrite message you can suppress that by typing
file confirm-overwrite no in the TUI

I create a line plot by selelecting plot --> XY plot. I select a line as a surface and click the 'write to file' option to write the XY data to a file.

I record all these steps in a macro (solve --> execute commands), and then execute this macro every 1000 iterations. However this macro will open the XY plot window and write file window. This is what I mean when I refer to popups.

These popups I would like to supress.

If you use journal file instead of macro, these pop-ups will be suppressed.

If I put these TUI commands in a macro I have no more annoying pop-ups!
