Hi everyone!
I am having a problem of temperatures shooting up to a very high value after specifying 'source terms' or 'heat flux' value. The calculated values are verified. I also tried reducing the source term values, still the temperatures are not decreasing. Any suggestions? Thanks!! |

Do following checks
1)make sure that units are consistent. 2) Check thoroughly value of Cp, k 3) If there is phase change in actual case apply 'limit' at that temp in Fluent. Fluent will obey energy balance pretty accurately ..All the best |

Thanks a ton for your reply.
I am using the standard material database available in Fluent and also there is no phase change in the problem. I have tried reducing the source term value by 10 times, still the temperatures are not coming to be accurate! Please let me know if there can be any other problem! Thanks again! |

Fluent database properties are defined for NTP. If your operating condition is different properties will be different. Check for that.
