Fluent Postprocessing - NEU!

Good evening, dear people,

I have solved with FLUENT a very long 3d pipe -for some reason- of 10^6 elements.
I would like to export a "xy data" file with 1 column for dyn-pressures and 1 for velocities, in order to further integrate the corresponding values on several cross-sections.

Could anybody introduce me a way to avoid a full-domain data file creation of such a hugh size? More specifically, could FLUENT provide me "jumping" on individual cross-sections of my interest and export only those values in a file?

Thank you in advance!

Stefanos,

For the "jumping" issue, you can create surfaces on cross sections of interest using Define>Surface (I believe). It is very straightforward to define a plane using three points. Once the surfaces are defined and named, you can simply select them for the xy plotting or use them for any other reports or monitors.
