Multi-inlet problem
Hello folks, i m modelling a system which have multi inlets(3). I m trying to know how can i add respective material to respective inlet. for example inlet material are air water and sugar all entering through different inlets. how can i specify the same?

1) Switch on species transport . 2) Make a new material i.e. mixture and add all the materials in it. 3) Go to boundary conditions in species tab and give the volume fraction of the species needed. You are done. Shoeb |
You need to solve this problem using Multiphase analysis with three phases...

Re
Can you expmain how to solve the multiphase three phase problem and what can be the three phases.

Hi Sachin,
As I understand from your post, let me explain it in detail...you have three materials Air, Water and Sugar. Air is gas phase, Water is liquid phase and Sugar is granulated phase . You would also be knowing about the volume fraction of all these three materials. As said earlier, probably you can use Eulerian dispersed multiphase model. with three phases. primary phase or continuous phase can be the material Air or water depending on higher volume fraction . The first secondary phase can be again air or water depending on lower volume fraction. The second secondary phase can be granulated sugar. Depending on your problem, you can consider all or any of the following effects viz..interfacial surface tension effects, drag co-efficients, diameter of secondary phase, coalescence and breakage and the phase inversion ..... Hope this provides some idea on the problem you are analysing, if not you can always contact Ansys Technical support, they will be very happy and willing to support you. |
