Modelling micro-explosion of multi-component fuel droplets
I was wondering whether anyone can help, I been researching on modelling fuel droplets and trying to integrate this into CFD however i am having some difficulty. I have been told to model a single droplet not the fuel spray itself. would i be using a multi-phase or discrete phase model?
The fluid is a ethanol-diesel mixture which will undergo micro-explosion.
I am fairly new at using CFD, and would appreciate any advice from anyone that has done something similar.
If you focus on micro process of single droplet and want to reproduce the process by computer, I believe FLUENT is not appliable. If you want to simulate the combustion of the spray, use DPM.
