Level-set VOF results problems

Hello!

I am trying to model flow front of a liquid-gas flow. In the case, with a polymer and an air.

To do that i am using VOF model in fluent, who give a pretty good flow front definition, according to the experimental.

I al trying to use level-set, but this seems more instable than VOF.

I am curious, since the couple Level-Set and VOF should give better results, right?

NO, not always.

Why you said that?

Fluent incorperated level-set into VOF from V13 on, and i believe the programmer had tested the code with a lot of cases, but the real flow is so complex that it is not reasonable you expect to get 'better' results just because of new method is used.
