I an using a unsteady state DPM model.
I want to view the different droplets diameter in my domain that are been injected into my computational domain. Kindly help me by telling ho w to do that. SHK |

Thanks Amir
But in that case we can see different colors of particles diameters I want such as if the bigger particles gives a bigger diameter and smaller particles gives smaller diameter. How can that be possible Thanks in advance SHK |

I think this not possible with FLUENT itself but I saw such presentation done with FLUENT+EDEM plug-in which is not free of course. www.dem-solutions.com Bests,

Thanks
i am trying to simulate a nozzel oulet using surface injection using DPM. What other ways in DPM we can do it to obtain good results. Can we have VOF model to get the spray particle size and distribution also. Which is the other better way to do it. Kindly suggest. Thanks |

For nano particles; Eulerian method via solving scalar transport equation is recommended. (UDS in FLUENT) and for other ranges of diameter DPM can lead to reasonable results; although, there are few bugs in brownian motion and particle deposition... Bests,

Like in my case i want am simulation a atomizer . I am using a DPM model right now. But how do i approach the problem, in my case i want to use a multiphase model. And in multiphase model i want to see the droplet dispersion, collision, breakup etc in my model. Like in eulerian model we cannot see the droplet by visualization that we can do in VOF. But anyhow using any of these models can i measure the droplet size and distribution. Kindly help me SHK |

Obviously, multi-phase models is not proper for atomizers! but DPM has these capabilities such as collision and .... It's true that FLUENT doesn't show real diameters but it accounts in according eqauations; you should choose appropriate model based on proper physics coincidence not the post processing features; nevertheless, I'm not an expert in this field but maybe you can achieve your purpose by using other post-processors.
Bests,
