Problem in interfacing

i have prepared a model in Gambit n applied interface command on it..after exporting in fluent i did grid interfacing of the interface..but heat transfer is not passing the interface..the upper side of model is being unaffected..is there any other process which i left during processing or initialization????

I'm not sure; but I think you have to set interface type to "coupled" in "define->grid interface".

Bests,

Thnkx amir, but i have already done that but there is no change on upper side of interface.

hi,
What I perceive from your statement is that you have 2 regions say a solid and liquid and you want to study the temperature etc profile in them. But the way you are proceeding , u are getting profiles independent of each other.I n short you want to carry out conjugate heat transfer analysis.

If that is the case do the following:

when you are making geometry, select the parts (or zones , fluid and solid to be studied in ur case )and convert them in to one body by selecting make new part.
after that when u mesh and all it will show the desired results.
