Self Starting 2D Savonius Wind Turbine

Hi

I am able to simulate unsteady flow over the savonius wind turbine using moving mesh. However, in this I set the rotational speed to a fixed value and the turbine rotate with that value only throughout the time of simulation.

What I want is to start the turbine rotation due to flow field from. From reading many threads here I came to know I have to use UDF, but I have no clue how to use it.

Can anyone please help me on that and tell me how to use UDF in calculating the rotational speed as well as update the rotational velocity in the moving mesh boundary condition.

How can I write a UDF for calculating the Torque and hence the rotational speed.
