Hi,
I want to model an unsteady non-uniform flow in an open channel with FLUENT. I´m assuming I have to use VOF simulation. How can I account for the varying water level at the inlet boundary? What types of boundary conditions I need to use? Any help will be appreciated! |

hi
If you are using a VOF model you have to run the simulation in unsteady way first. If you want a varying velocity you can try to run the simulation at a particular velocity for a particular time and then change the velocity at the different time . By changing the velocity at different time you can do the simulation. Second you can develop a time dependent equation using any software like matlab or excel and then you can built the udf for that equation and use that udf in velocity inlet for velocity profile hope that wil help you regars shk |
