Minimum Volume Fraction

I am having some problems with the simulation of multiphase flow using the eulerian-eulerian approach with Fluent 13. The results of the particle velocity presented velocities near zero (not expected) in locations where the volume fraction was smaller than aproximattly 5E-7. I tested in other positions and this value of volume fraction showed to be the limit between a reasonable and an extrange result. Is there any way to set up the minimum value for the volume fraction in order to avoid such problem, or any other idea? This problem appeared for the RSM and k-epsilon turbulence model.

can you explain more about you case? I mean geometry and boundary conditions
