I'd like to calculate the concentration of a UDS in a small volume of my domain during post processing. It seems I can do it over a plane, but I'd like a volume, as it's more accurate.

Do you if this is possible?

Hi,

Try this:
adapt->region-> "set your region and just mark it; do not adapt"
grid->separate->cells ..... separate your new zone
Now you can do post-processing over this volume in both "report" or "solve->monitor->volume"

Bests,
C.C, wc34071209 and mahditorabiasr like this.

Thanks Amir. Very helpful.

Do you know if it is possible to do this via TUI?

I have found the commands for defining my region:
Adapt -> Mark-inout-hex

but this region does not appear in the separate cells list via TUI...

What are your thoughts?

I tested it! it works. check your min-max values. if you have provided them correctly, you can see its report; e.g., 10 cells marked. then this volume is available in separate panel! maybe your volume is very small and you didn't capture any cell.

Bests,
Thanks. Yes the new marked zone: hexahedron-0 appears in the separate cell panel GUI, but the problem is with splitting the cells in TUI?

I tried mesh modify-zones sep-cell-zone-region but the zone hexahedron-0 is not on the list. Could you try this and see?

Regards,
I checked that; there isn't any issue!
your procedure is right but at last you have to specify the IDs carefully. first you have to specify the main zone ID from which you want to separate something:
Quote:
cell zone id/name
you can refer to BC panel and find desired fluid zone ID.
then enter the registered ID here:
Quote:
register id/name
you can find the registered ID from:
adapt->manage-> "Register info/Reg ID" (right side of the panel)
That's all.

Bests,
