Hi everyone,

I'm attempting to run a periodic mrf of a wind turbine. I'm pretty sure all the settings are correct (periodic set to rotational, rotor zone set to mrf, etc). But fluent just wont iterate. It shows the iterating... dialogue, but that's all! I'm really frustrated right now since I couldn't find any solution to this problem. Could someone out there help me please?

hi dear
i have the exact problem such as what you had.my bc are like you and the fluent solves that but after displaying the velocity magnitude contours ,all the velocity magnitudes are 0 .
would you plz tell me how did you solve it?
it would be really helpful for me if you tell me what you did.

my rotor radius is about 63 meters
do you think increasing the size of mesh and using a one blade model in stead of a complete model is useful??

Hi all, please refer to the following thread:

http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/flu...i-turbine.html

I have resolved all the issues I had with the simulation, and put my solutions there. If you have any more questions please pm me or post it in that thread.
