A problem in displaying velocity profile in techplot !

There's a rectangular open channel for which I've plotted the velocity vectors in tech-plot at two sections, one at entrance and other at some distance away from entrance. The problem-or say bug- is that there is no velocity vector visible for the water surface level at the entrance section, whereas for the same position at section two(away from entrance) I see the velocity vectors. I wonder why is that?
(A photo can be supplied if anyone needs it.)

it occurs because you do not select your inlet when you extract results for tecplot.

it is better to export all part in fluent and compute in it
the file extractor sometimes has problems
