I am analyzing the flow in a pipe which has a self propelled plate (solid) inside it. In GAmbit applying the coutte flow technique, I created a 2D model of it. The problems I am facing are

1. When I am declaring plate as a solid continuum and giving it a velocity in one direction, no result is coming
2. When I am declaring the plate as a face with 4 walls and giving the whole face a velocity, the flow is occuring inside the plate!! and the gap between pipe and plate has no velocity!

Can someone please guide me in this? I am new to both gambit and Fluent

in gambit, you need to split your pipe with your solid.
Your plate should appear as an hole (>> no fluid flow through the plate)
